Sales Representative Position – Multifamily Market

Viking Kitchen Cabinets is a well-established kitchen and bath cabinetry and countertop supplier with deep roots in the building supply industry. Based in Connecticut, we proudly serve new construction, remodeling and multi-family communities throughout Connecticut and Southern New England.

About the Role

As a Sales Representative focused on the multifamily construction market, your mission is to grow Viking Kitchens’ footprint by building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You’ll act as a trusted partner to developers, general contractors, and property managers—while collaborating internally with project managers, customer service, and technical teams.

Job Title: Sales Representative – Multifamily Market
Territory: Boston/South & Rhode Island
Reports To: Vice President of Sales
Location: Hybrid (New Britain, CT + field-based travel)
Compensation: Competitive Base + Commission

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute personal sales plans to meet assigned targets.
  • Prospect and onboard new clients within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional service and value-engineered solutions.
  • Identify project opportunities through online bidding platforms, construction databases, and industry networking.
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive bids in line with profit objectives.
  • Oversee all phases of the sales cycle, including proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Ensure smooth project execution by collaborating with customer service team.
  • Provide final review and approval of drawings prior to ordering.
  • Submit timely expense and activity reports.
  • Represent Viking Kitchens at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, construction, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in outside sales—experience in kitchen cabinetry, construction, or remodeling strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and construction plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time and territory management skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel regularly within the territory.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Achievement of sales and gross margin targets.
  • Acquisition and retention of new customers.
  • Consistency and quality in sales reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
