An Update on Coronavirus 03-17-20

To Our Valued Customers:

As of today, Viking Kitchens is open and operating on our normal schedule. This could change at any point based on governmental policy changes or any direct or indirect exposure to any member of our team.

Below is an update:

As of today, Viking Kitchens is open and operating on our normal schedule. This could change at any point based on governmental policy changes or any direct or indirect exposure to any member of our team.

We began taking precautions early last week with enhanced cleaning throughout the facility. In light of the almost daily changes, and out of an abundance of caution, we will begin to implement the following changes in the days ahead:


Showroom

  • Our showrooms will only welcome those people with advance appointments, and guests will be asked to wash their hands prior to engaging with our sales and design staff.
  • We have instructed our staff to avoid any physical contact, including handshakes.
  • We ask that clients limit who comes to appointments to those who are important to the selection process, and to maintain a safe distance between themselves and our staff for everyone’s protection.
  • Until further notice, post template slab layouts will not be conducted in person. Surfaces will email digital photos of both full slab and layout options for customer approval.

Deliveries

  • We have instructed our drivers to wear a mask and gloves when they are at a delivery site, and to maintain a safe distance from people on site at the time of delivery. Drivers will ask for the first initial and last name of our customer and will notate the same on receiving paperwork rather than ask you to sign. The driver will leave a customer copy with the delivered material in order to maintain safe distancing throughout the delivery process.
  • During our two day and one day advanced calls we will inquire if anyone at the delivery site has symptoms or is under voluntary quarantine. If, in fact, we get an affirmative answer, we will not deliver to the site for at least two weeks.

Template and Installation Appointments

  • If you have a template or countertop installation scheduled for an occupied residence or commercial space, we have instructed our crews to wear gloves and masks for everyone’s protection.
  • We will remind you of this when scheduling confirmation calls are made so that you and your customers are not surprised or concerned upon their arrival. 

Order Fulfillment

  • As of today, we have not had significant supply chain issues other than some small concerns on our import products unrelated to Coronavirus.
  • This could change as businesses shut down either by choice or by State or Federal edicts, and we will keep you informed of any changes as we learn of them.

Our sales/design staff and our administrative staff all have the ability to work from home with remote access, but in the event that we need to shut down, deliveries, receiving, templates, and installs would need to cease until we can guarantee the safety of our staff and customers. Let us all hope that this virus is brought under control quickly with as little disruption as possible.
