This project with Creative Builders of New England shows how bold finish selections can feel distinctive and highly practical. Working with Viking Design & Sales Specialist Dawn Vieu, the team created a sophisticated transitional kitchen that combines clean lines, classic detailing and durable materials into an upscale, cohesive space.
CNC Classic Versailles cabinet doors in Ocean Blue are used throughout the main kitchen and oversized island to bring depth and personality. Thin shaker-style doors keep the look modern, while vertical beadboard panels on the island add texture and subtle architectural interest. Vaulted ceilings, neutral walls and large-format flooring allow the cabinetry to stand out while keeping an open, balanced feel.
In the adjacent beverage and bar area, CNC Classic Versailles in Bourbon introduces a warm wood tone that balances the cooler blue finish and creates a natural transition between spaces. The two-tone approach demonstrates how contrasting finishes can add visual appeal while maintaining continuity across the overall design.
Richelieu chrome hardware provides a clean, understated accent that works seamlessly with both cabinet colors.
Projects like this highlight how coordinated material selections and close collaboration can deliver a memorable, well-executed result.
